The weather has been really nice today, so I’ve spent a bit of time in the garden, weeding out a few bits of the vegetable plots to make room for some of the winter veg seedlings to be planted out. When I noticed that in the greenhouse we had quite a few tomatoes actually starting to ripen. It may have taken them all summer but they are here now, the flavour is wonderful but their texture is horrid, very fluffy and unpleasant which is a shame, but they will make lovely additions to cooking. The cherry tomatoes are much better, lovely flavour and they are nice and hard just how they should be.

I also spotted this bee on a last minute forage for pollen on one of the sunflower heads.
