I think I planted too many courgette plants. Well actually I know I did, 7 plants for 1 person!! But I really didn’t think that they would all survive, and I put some in very late so I thought nothing would come of them. How wrong I was, there’s courgettes everywhere, and if I go away for a week I come back to about 10 enormous marrows. They up side is that they are delicious, I have so far had a number of courgette salads, made several courgette, walnut and sultana cakes, courgette bread, a risotto which also included courgette flowers, lots of ratatouille plus I have a freezer full of grated courgette and diced courgette ready for use during the winter in stews, soups and cakes. But next year I will certainly have less plants!
